The 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed will take place from the 13th to the 16th of July and will celebrate the 75th anniversary of Porsche, including the legendary central feature display.
This year's festival coincides with the 75th anniversary of the very first Porsche sportscar, the 356, and also the 60th birthday of the 911, probably the most famous of all Porsche models. Goodwood itself will celebrate 75 years of motorsport, so it is a perfect match for the event this year.
Daily displays will take place in front of the house together with a parade of Porsche cars to showcase its 75 years of history. In addition, along with the central display, there will be other static exhibits and displays across the entire site that will keep all Porsche fans happy.
While Gerry Judah's latest incredible sculpture, sat in front of the iconic Goodwood House, will no doubt draw the eye, it will be the cars on the 1.16-mile Goodwood Hill that grab the soul.
The Porsche marque has won the famous Le Mans 24 Hours a record 19 times, more than any other brand, and has also won the Dakar Rally, the World Sportscar Championship, and F1 races. Some of the cars that won these titles are expected to be on display together with Porsche's best road machines on each day of the event.
Over the years, Porsche has been one of the most loyal and enthusiastic partners of Goodwood, supporting the Festival of Speed since 1995, and the Revival since 2010. This year, Porsche will become the first manufacturer to create the Central Feature at the Festival of Speed for the fourth time, underlining the huge success of this iconic manufacturer.
Porsche was the celebrated marque at the festival for the first time back in 1998 with racing sportscars on poles in front of the house. A famous 911 display was featured in 2013 and the most recent was in 2018 when an extraordinary sculpture featured six cars.
