The Porsche 911, who do we still have to explain what kind of car it is? World famous, and has been for many decades. Since the 911 appeared in 1964, it is impossible to imagine the history of the automobile without it and it adorns many a boy's rooms in poster form. It is a dream for many to own a 911 one day. After the original with narrow bumpers, the second series appeared in 1974, with thicker bumpers due to American safety requirements. This series, which was in production from 1974 to 1988, is now very popular because of modern features such as fuel injection, rust prevention and powerful engines.

The 911 on this page is an SC. According to the Porsche scholars, that stands for Super Carrera. Under the small bonnet a new aluminium 3.0 boxer engine that initially produces 180 hp but is increased to 204 hp in 1981. The aluminium power source provides a lot of extra reliability, which also makes these 1980s Porsches so popular. Bosch mounts a K-Jetronic for the injection, shifting is done with the new 915 gearbox.
And so the SC goes down in the books as a very successful model. No wonder then that this white 911 deserves a place in our collection. The coupe was delivered in 1983, so it is the more powerful 204 hp three-litre that can be found under the small hood. Few engines have such a characteristic sound as an air-cooled six-cylinder boxer from Porsche and this SC is of course no exception.
The coupe looks very neat and has clearly only had enthusiasts as owners. That these enthusiasts have driven 238,435 kilometers with the 911 is therefore nowhere to be seen. This series is known for being able to handle high mileages and so we can say that, given the condition, this 911 is in the prime of its life. The body is very neat and so is the Grandprixweiss paint.

The fun continues inside because where you might expect a black interior, this SC is equipped with a beautiful original champagne-coloured leather interior with the well-known fabric centre lanes with Porsche logos. Porsche was lord and master in making well-fitting sports seats in that period and the model in this 911 is no exception. The upholstery is undamaged and in good condition. The complete instrument panel is also neat, with beautiful and correctly working meters. The sports steering wheel looks good on the Porsche and comes from the right period. The rest of the dashboard and all controls also look very neat and give the impression that the 911 has barely experienced half the number of kilometres driven.
The technology of the 911 can be called very good and while driving there is nothing else to conclude than that it is a sleek and solid car. The 3.0 six-cylinder feels powerful and smooth, the latter also applies to the gearbox and clutch. The steering and suspension are also fresh. The overall impression of the 911 is therefore that it has been neatly maintained.

There are of course 911s with less mileage experience, or in a state that you would rather show at a show. If you are looking for a 911 that you want to drive a lot, nice and smooth, then this is the SC for you!
