Chassis No. WP0JB093XKS050505 Engine No. 68K00973 When the Feldhorns decided to add a 911 Turbo to their impressive collection, only the final and fully-evolved 1989 model year of the initial “G-Body” 911 Turbo model featuring the desirable five-speed G50 transmission was considered. In 2018 this this well-kept, low-mileage matching-numbers Type 930 Coupe found way to the Feldhorn Collection. One of the 857 final year Turbos for the U.S.-Market, this 1989 Turbo was completed at the Porsche factory in March of 1989, and finished in stealth Black exterior over a Cashmere Beige with Black partial leather trim. The end-of-the-run Turbo featured a long list of desirable standard equipment, while the accompanying Porsche Certificate of Authenticity notes a limited slip differential, electric sunroof, short shift gear lever, raised hub steering wheel and a Blaupunkt Reno radio with amplifier system as optional equipment. The new 911 Turbo was delivered on 9 June 1989 to its first owner, a Mr. Perryman, by Jim Ellis Porsche in Atlanta, Georgia. The accompanying CARFAX report lists owners in the Northeast and Mid-West until 2018, when acquired by the Feldhorns, while consistently logging the mileage. To ensure the 28,000 mile at the time 911 Turbo would perform its best, Feldhorn enlisted Reseda, California based Porsche specialist N.A.R.W. in 2018 to fully rebuild the engine and install a new turbo, clutch, and whatever else was deemed necessary. The balance of mechanical systems was gone through as well, and new tires installed. Inside, Autobahn Interiors fitted new leather hides, and the AC system was serviced. Cost of the work performed totaled over $50,000 of which receipts can be found in the accompanying history file. Paint protection film was fitted to the front at this time, to protect what appears to be a largely original paint car. The powerful Porsche has since been exercised on the 1,500-mile Ramshorn Rally in 2019 and 2021 and went back to N.A.R.W. in 2022 for transaxle work, and again in 2023 for a service and fitment of fresh Pirelli tires. With just 34,102 miles recorded on the odometer at the time of cataloging, this 911 Turbo is documented by the CARFAX report, Porsche-issued Certificate of Authenticity and the original warranty book, and is offered with its owner's manual, spare wheel and inflator, jack and tool kit in addition to many restoration and maintenance receipts. Factory applied ID plates and decals remain in situ all over the car, including the small VIN stickers. Even the original Blaupunkt radio - an item frequently replaced on these cars remains installed. The Turbo, indeed, is among the landmark high-performance sports cars of its generation, and Feldhorn’s desirable G50-equipped matching-numbers example combines the unmistakable looks of a classic Porsche, the powerful Turbo motor, and the collectability that goes hand in hand with its low production figure. A Turbo which has been looked after and enjoyed, this fine example is ready for new high-speed adventures.
