Chassis No. 119301303 Engine No. 6391814 Transmission No. 7197883 It’s well known that color is a significant factor in the desirability of nearly every automobile, whether classic or modern. The owner of Theodor Schwiers KG certainly thought so, optioning this top-of-the-line 1969 Porsche 911 S coupe in Blutorange—better known as Tangerine in the United States. In addition to the original owner, the Kardex warranty card reveals the car was specified through the Gottfried Schultz Porsche dealership with a Black interior with corduroy seat inserts. The car was optioned with the rare 100-liter fuel tank, a loudspeaker, radio interference suppressor, tinted glass all around that included an electrically heated and tinted rear window, and a rear tow hook. A copy of the original Kraftfahrzeugbrief confirms the sales date of 26 June 1969 and the original owner. Additionally, it also records the ownership of its first four German owners. In short succession, the 911 S Coupe was acquired by Martin Hörken of Wuppertal in December 1970, Dr. Gunter Ewald of Bochum in April 1971, and then the firm of Friedrich Frohn in March 1973, also of Bochum. That November, the car is believed to have entered decades-long single ownership. An inspection report from August 2023 reveals that the car has received a full and comprehensive restoration in its original colors with the report noting that the doors and hood fit very well, the sunroof operates properly, and that the body is undamaged. The report notes an interior in very good condition with little wear and very good fit. Furthermore, the matching-numbers 2.0-liter flat-six engine ran quietly and smoothly during the inspection with no external leaks visible. During an uneventful test drive, the original matching five-speed transmission operated smoothly and without noise. Most recently, in March 2025, a service was conducted by Sportwagen & Mobiler Rennsportservice while in Germany. The nearly 1,800 EUR service included a complete oil change and filter replacement, fresh brake fluid, new spark plugs, a new fuel filler, and a new battery. Freshly imported to the United States, this top-of-the-line 911 S Coupe is offered as a well-restored matching-numbers example, with a recorded early history, recent servicing, in its original shade of 6809 Tangerine—perhaps the color most evocative of a fantastic motorsport-influenced era at Porsche.
