This Pre A Cabriolet Knickscheibe was delivered at the end of 1953
The name Knickscheibe refers to the distinctive windscreen with a kink in it.
The Knickscheibe is the successor to the so-called Split Window, where the windscreen consisted of 2 panes.
The Knickscheibe consists of 1 pane, but is characterised by the sharp bend of the pane in the middle.
At the time, around 1,300 units of the Pre A convertible Knickscheibe were produced.

The example offered here still has the original panels, marked by the last 2 digits of the chassis number.
Further, the 356 still has the original gearbox but is motorised with a 95hp 356SC engine, type 616/16.
Original matching numbers crankcase is present with the car.

Eind 1953 is deze Pre A Cabriolet Knickscheibe uitgeleverd
De naam Knickscheibe verwijst naar de opvallende voorruit waar een knik in zit.
De Knickscheibe is de opvolger van de zogeheten Split Window, waar de voorruit uit 2 ruitjes bestond.
De Knickscheibe bestaat uit 1 ruit, maar kenmerkt zich door de scherpe buiging van de ruit in het midden.
Destijds zijn er van de Pre A cabriolet Knickscheibe rond de 1300 stuks geproduceerd.

Het exemplaar wat hier aangeboden wordt beschikt nog over de originele panelen, gekenmerkt door de laatste 2 cijfers van het chassisnummer.
Verder beschikt de 356 nog over de originele versnellingsbak maar is deze motorisch uitgerust met een 95pk sterke 356SC motor, type 616/16.
Originele matching numbers carter is aanwezig bij de auto.
