Estimated Price: £45,000 - £55,000

Originally developed as a more accessible sibling to the 911, the Porsche 912 shared its chassis, body and much of the engineering whilst housing a lighter four-cylinder engine in the rear. This gave the 912 a well balanced, agile  driving character that quickly earned the model a loyal following. Today, it remains a highly desirable model offering entry into the exclusive club of Classic Porsche ownership at a lower price point.

This left-hand drive example is beautifully finished in metallic grey over a black leatherette interior, originally supplied to California and imported to the UK in 2014. Its first UK owner was well known television presenter and classic car enthusiast, Drew Pritchard, who commissioned a schedule of restoration and enhancement work by respected marque specialists Karmann Connection and Type 2 Detectives.

Under the rear lid sits an uprated 1,700cc flat-four, offering a useful lift in performance whilst retaining the light, responsive feel that defines the 912. It's paired with the sought after 5-speed, dog-leg gearbox, which has also been recently rebuilt. The engine compartment has been upgraded with modern sound deadening to reduce heat transfer and all four wheels are Fuchs alloys fitted with premium Continental all-season tyres.

The current owner acquired the car in 2017 and continued to refine it with reliability and long distance comfort in mind. The interior has been subtly upgraded and a discreet audio system installed, including Bluetooth, steering column control, a hidden CD player, amplifier and premium Focal three-phase speakers — all designed to preserve the period cabin aesthetic whilst offering exceptional modern audio quality.

It has covered c.64,000 miles, supported by a substantial history file from both the US and UK, including invoices from trusted specialists such as CCK London. Being left-hand drive it has proved completely at home on regular touring duties across Europe and is described as 'swift and precise through the gears on mountain roads and relaxed at motorway pace', it presents as a highly useable and very well sorted classic Porsche, ready to enjoy.
