By 1964, the Porsche 356 had evolved into the 356C. The final series of the 356 range. Not because it was suddenly completely different, but because everything had been developed just that little bit further—an evolution rather than a revolution. Disc brakes all around, for example. And an engine that feels slightly more powerful and more refined than before.
The example you see here is a 1964 Porsche 356C 1600 Coupe. Finished in silver grey with a full red interior. A timeless combination that is not easily overlooked. The color scheme is beautiful. This Porsche has been restored and overhauled to a standard reminiscent of how such work was often carried out in the late 1990s. Solid, and with great attention to detail.
At the rear sits the well-known 1.6-liter four-cylinder boxer engine. Air-cooled, of course, as it should be in a 356. Driving a 356 like this is a genuinely enjoyable experience. Thanks to the restoration work, this Porsche drives exactly as you would expect: light, direct, and solid.
This particular example comes with a German registration that has since been deregistered and has clearly been cared for over the years. Many people will say this Porsche looks like a show-level restoration. But perhaps even more important is that it drives the way you hope it will. And that, ultimately, is what matters.
