Porsche 911 S Coupé Signature Edition – 1976 – Platinum-Diamond Metallic

GENERAL INFORMATION

This 1976 Porsche 911 S Coupé is the special Signature Edition, a special version that Porsche introduced for the American market in honor of Ferry Porsche.

This version distinguishes itself from the regular 911 S through a number of exclusive details. The most recognizable feature is Ferry Porsche's signature on the steering wheel, from which this edition derives its name. In addition, the Signature Edition received a special color combination with Platinum-Diamond Metallic paint, a brown-beige interior with tweed upholstery, and matching ATS Cookie Cutter wheels. This special edition is therefore an interesting model within the history of the classic Porsche 911.

TECHNICAL & MECHANICAL CONDITION

The Porsche is equipped with the well-known 2.7-liter air-cooled six-cylinder boxer engine with 165 hp, coupled to a manual transmission. The engine is located at the rear and drives the rear wheels. The car features the classic engineering of the 911 S from this period, with independent suspension and disc brakes all around.

The original engine and gearbox data are included in the accompanying official Porsche delivery certificate.

EXTERIOR & BODYWORK

The Porsche is finished in the original factory color Platin-Diamant Metallic. This special metallic color is one of the recognizable features of the Signature Edition and forms a beautiful combination with the classic lines of the 911 Coupé.

The car sits on characteristic ATS Cookie Cutter wheels in a matching light color. Furthermore, the Porsche features chrome headlight rings, black bumper parts, and the well-known narrow body of the 911 from this period.

The car is also equipped with an original electric sunroof.

INTERIOR

The interior is finished in brown-beige artificial leather with special tweed fabric center panels on the seats. This special upholstery is one of the distinguishing features of the Signature Edition. Another special detail is Ferry Porsche's signature on the steering wheel. The interior also features the classic Porsche dashboard with five round instruments. The combination of the warm interior colors and the Platinum Diamond Metallic body suits this special edition well.
